Mission

Virginia Gildersleeve’s vision as an educator and internationalist and her lifelong advocacy for women’s rights
are captured in the VGIF mission statement:

The Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund provides small grants for grassroots projects that empower women and girls in developing countries.

Fullfilling Our Mission

Over 40 years supporting women in developing countries with:
• Community development
• Health and nutritional support
• Literacy and leadership training
• Educational seminars and workshops
• Human rights education

More than 350 successful projects in 72 countries.
