Description
Nutrition education. To bring about awareness of malnutrition in the area and motivate the families in the rural areas to take ameliorative measures. (Grant of $5,000 from gift of Ingibjorg Gudmundsdottir - $2,500 disbursed at this time.)

Update
The project started under a trained nutritionist. A survey in Kalaus identified malnourished children, who were supervised regularly and given SNDMA Mix, an additional nutritive food. The growth and weight of the children was checked every month. The next survey was done at “Hatat Colony. Children were found to be suffering from rickets, diarrhea and worms, and they too were being helped with medicine and SNDMA Mix.
